Sunnyside School Sense of Caring Artwork and Writing

First, we created our artwork by using crayon and watercolors. We painted pictures of how we care about our families, our friends, animals, and habitats.
Second, we shared our artwork with each other and talked about our caring ideas.

Third, we used our Bird Print Writing Process on our classroom computers to write about our caring ideas.

I adopted a kitten from the Humane Society and I brought it home on Wednesday, April 11, 2001. A Humane Society is a place where animals stay until someone buys them. By a First Grader |

I care about dogs and cats because they are cute. It makes me sad when they don't have food and don't have a home. I wish I could every single dog and cat a home and lots of food. I like dogs because they will help you and when you stop petting them, they wil jump up and start licking your face. I like when they lay their heads on your lap and you can pet them. I think dogs are really great animals. It if sounds like I'm in trouble to my dog, he will run out of the laundry room and start licking me. By a Second Grader |

We made envelopes
to send our Sense of CAring artwork and writng to schools in Pakistan,
Latvia, Russia, Lebanon, and USA. We decorated the envelopes with smiling
faces.

her students in Karachi, Pakistan.
