Email from Vermont school friend to the artist at Sunnyside School:
Dear Friend at Sunynside,
I think it was
very nice of you to adopt a kitten from the Humane Society. My mom's friend
had a pregnant cat that she had to bring to the Humane Society. Can I ask
you a question? Who is the other person is the picture? By the way I like
your art work. What did you make your picture with? Well got to go.

DearFriend in Vermont,
Thank you for your E-mail!! Do you go to the Humane Society to say "Hi"
to the pregnant cat? What is the pregnant cat's name? The other person in
my picture is my 8 year old brother. I made my picture with water color and
crayon. I really, really like your art work!
Your gingerbread man is wonderful!! Do you have a cat or a kitten? What did
you use for your artwork? I think it was very nice to put a gingerbread man
play on for the Elders and very nice to cheer up the veterans. I also think
it was nice to let the children wish!
Our school nursecame and brought her service dog named Sierra in and showed
our class some of the tricks she does. We have a class website and it has
artwork, astronomy, bug science, ladybugs, animals, family and friends and
a pond we go to to observe things. The pond is called Sunnyside Pond. There
are really two ponds, one we call the big pond because it is bigger and one
we call the small pond because it is smaller. We almost always see some ducks.
There is a small waterfall at the big pond. The big pond has a spillway that
goes down to the small pond.
We are doing a project called The Elder's Project. The Elder's project is
where each person brings in a story of when someone old they know was young.
If you would like to see any of these things you can go to our website:
