A Smile Can Go A Long, Long Way:

The Story of The Comfort Quilts for Children in Puerto Rico

When our class learned about Hurricane Georges in Puerto Rico, we wanted to do something caring that could help the children there whose homes and schools had been damaged. We sent email and comfort quilts to cheer up the children and families of Puerto Rico. Here is our story of the Puerto Rico Comfort Quilts which includes:

1. Hurricane News where we tell how we learned about the hurricane by email from our school friends in Puerto Rico.

2. Making the Quilts where we tell how we designed and made the comfort quilts.

3. Sending Quilt Email where we tell about the email we sent about the quilts coming to Puerto Rico.

4. Sending the Quilts where we tell about mailing the quilts from our local post office.

5. Thanks From Puerto Rico where we share the email of thanks from our friends in Puerto Rico.

6. Hurricane Exhibit at the Children's Museum in San Juan, Puerto Rico
