Winter Quilt Patch Twelve

Friday, February 2, 2001

1. We have 12 patches so far.

2. We have 24 s.t. so far.

3. We have 2 windmills so far.

4. We have 2 flying geese so far. One flying geese pattern is in the 1st and 2nd patches of the 2nd row and the 1st and 2nd patches of the 3rd row. This flying geese pattern points North. Another flying geese pattern is in the 2nd and 3rd patches of the 1st row and the 2nd and 3rd patches of the 2nd row. This flying geese pattern points West.

5. A flying geese (f.g.) pattern has 2 parallelograms (plg.) 2 plg. = 1 f.g. A flying geese (f.g.) pattern has 4 small triangles (s.t.). 4 s.t. = 1 plg.

6. We have a prediction that the next patch will be D because our pattern on the 2nd row will repeat in reverse in the 4th row.
