Our P. Bear New Year's Math For
The Year 2000!!!
We read the book P.Bear's New Year's Party by Paul Owen Lewis. We made our own pictures of the characters in the story. We read this book in our classroom every year in the beginning of January because it's a good book about the new year!
P. Bear is a polar bear.
He decides to have a new year's party. He sends invitations to his best dressed friends.
They all start coming to his party.
First, one orca whale comes at 1:00 p.m.
Second, two horses came at 2:00 p.m.
Third, three dairy cows came at 3:00 p.m.
Fourth, four zebras came at 4:00 p.m.
Fifth, five panda bears came at 5:00 p.m.
Sixth, six mountain goats came at 6:00 p.m.
Seventh, seven snow leopards came at 7:00 p.m.
Eighth, eight dalmatian dogs came at 8:00 p.m.
Ninth, nine skunks came at 9:00 p.m.
Tenth, ten Canada geese came at 10:00 p.m.
Eleventh, eleven cats came at 11:00 p.m.
Twelfth, twelve penguins came at 12:00 Midnight!
